Spreading the Christmas cheer in the Illawarra the Eddy way
.
ALBION PARK NSW AUSTRALIA.
How & Why
HOW Below is a basic example on how the show is set up.
The light show uses approx 5000 computer controlled outputs with every channel tediously programmed to the songs, this allows me to control each display element and colour with a number of effects. I use a 10 milliwatt FM transmitter tuned to 93.3FM to transmit the light sequence music from the computer to your car radio or personal radio. I have also installed hidden video camera surveillance to ensure that everyone behaves.
There is a lot of different pieces of equipment that go into creating the show and the show is sequenced and run by LightShow Pro V2.
You too can create your own magical christmas show using the lights you already have by becoming a free member of auschristmaslighting.com, lots of info and help to get you started into this great new hobby.

WHY
Many hours have gone into designing, planning & implementation of the light show but I feel it was better than sitting around watching TV and achieving nothing. It is a great hobby that combines electronics, electrical, computers, music and performance, visual arts and it also puts a smile on everyones face when they see the finished outcome.
There is a very active community of christmas lighting hobbiest in Australia and the rest of the world. I am a moderator in the forums for Auschristmaslighting forums and if your interested in taking up the hobby you will find lots of help and assistance from a great bunch of talented guys there. So pop in a join the forums and come and say hello in the forum chat room.
I hope that i am able to spread the Eddy cheer this year and at the same time raise some money for those suffering from Cancer and put a smile on both children and adults alike.
I am supporting the Cancer Council of NSW as cancer effects us all and we all know of someone who has or is suffering from this disease. I have an old friend that passed away from cancer just after the new year 2009, he left behind 2 young children under the age of 7. I can only imagine what he and his family went through. I wish all those who are battling through this disease a speedy recovery and prosperous future.
If you enjoyed my efforts this year then I ask you to please make a small donation to the cancer council NSW by clicking on the below link which will direct you to my personal Cancer Council Fund raising site where you can donate in security or if you wish you can place a donation in the letterbox when you come by to watch the lights.
